Interesting Bento Lunchboxes
There were some interesting Bento boxed lunches I found while surfing the net, these were just too cool not to show off. For those who do not know what a Bento is:
BentÃ…Â (å¼Â当 or ã¹んã¨ã†, BentÃ…Â?) is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish. Containers range from disposable mass produced to hand crafted lacquer ware. Although bento are easily available in many places throughout Japan, including convenience stores, bento shops (å¼Â当屋, bentÃ…Â-ya?), train stations, and department stores, it is still common for Japanese homemakers to spend considerable time and energy producing an appealing boxed lunch.

Let me just say that these Bento lunches were made extremely well. Gotta love the Japanese ingenuity eh?

Yeah I love how they make these things, it looks a lot like the anime characters too. Very creative. I wonder if I can get some here in NYC.
I probably will not be able to eat these. Not because they are artistic, but because they have humanz.

So creative :D I love bento. The best I’ve done is make star shapes out of carrots.
Ha, I haven’t even done that lol. You’ll be lucky if you can find thinly sliced cucumbers from box lunches I make let alone star shaped carrots.
