Transform your Pictures and make them look Oldschool
BZou | August 14, 2008Doing the usual web browsing and went onto Xorsyst and saw one of his postings which interested me a lot, so I decided to share it here as well. Apparently there’s a Japanese site that takes your photos and generates it into a Bakumatsu-like image. So it looks kind of like it was from back in the day (Friggen Awesome). I spent the next hour with my friend just messing around endlessly with it (You cannot imagine the amounts of pictures we have transformed, we even dabbled in porno…). And Here are some of the images I transformed (Showing a before and After Shot), CLICK IMAGES TO ENLARGE:
Here is little old me doing a stupid myspace pose lol (Meh Quality, taken with Camera Phone):
This next one is a crappy painting I attempted to do of a cherry blossom Tree branch (also taken with Camera Phone):
It is kinda sad that the transformed version that looks mad old actually looks better than my original painting….sadness…..
Ok this next one is just a random School Rumble Anime image I found somewhere:
And these next two are scenic photos, one of Niagara Falls from my trip up there and another a Buddhist Temple I found online:
I have to say so myself it seems that this generator manages to make scenic images look a lot nicer and more genuine. The Buddhist Temple actually looks like an old photo, same with the Niagara Falls. I guess its just better with scenery than portraits of people.
Ok well these are the photos I messed around with, I hope you guys enjoyed it. And feel free to try for yourself here.
After viewing this post you should definitely head over to Xorsyst, it has a couple of nice transformed photos including one of the Lucky Star cast.

@Riiana - Yeah it is pretty cool to mess around with, I am still occasionally messing around with it as I watch the Olympics and web surf.
In fact while web surfing it turns out I have found proof that the movie “Last Samurai” was based off of a real white guy samurai. Here are the photos:

Interesting… and as far as the dolls and being scared, some dolls creep me out because of their eyes, but I think I am getting rather used to them.:P I would love to own a candy doll, just so that I could say I have one, and freak all my neighbors out!:P
