Hey remember in the beginning of Code Geass R2 (Can’t remember the exact episode), where the Guren was defeated by Lancelot and was falling down from the air? Well we all assumed the mighty “Seventh Knight of the Round” Suzaku caused it but recent forensic analysis has shown that it was unrelated. Here is a Set of Images that will tell the whole story!

That’s right fellas! It seems even in an alternate reality, Microsoft still dominates the computer software markets (Just proves Evil Mega Corporations run the world and all its alternate realities). Yet even in the world of Geass, they have the Blue Screen of Death. Except in their case the blue screen of death is a bit more dire and literal.

As expected some of the truth of Geass is revealed, although to a lot of us it’s probably not that much of a surprise what C.C.’s wish was. Other than that we got to see Suzaka struggling with his morality, Nunally asserting her authority as governor, and most importantly we finally learn something about C.C.’s past.

SPOILERS AHEAD (BE WARNED)!!

This scene was quite interesting, the laser beam power of the Geass refracting off a bunch of tiny mirrors. I have to give it to Lelouch, it is a truly genius move especially when you are personally trying to avoid eye contact with the individual in question. Of course we all knew this plan was an ultimate fail, No way the Emperor would die right there in the beginning.

In the previous episode I stated that if Suzaku uses refrain on Kallen, I would personally draw his death. Well it seems that Suzaku hasn’t fully fallen off his moral high ground just yet and refuses to become like Zero. This episode showed both Lelouch and Suzaku in a much brighter light than last episode, and they both showed empathy and resolve here in contrast to the dark nature of their actions in episode 14.

By now we’ve seen multiple stages of Charles’ life: from young to the old man in a wig. V.V. looks the same (Duh of course immortality) now as he did back then, except without the ridiculously long hair. And they made a promise to one another not to lie when they made their contract, which gives reason to some of the things Charles said last week.

Ah yes of course. The emperor survives Lelouch Geass. The reason being is that he now is just like C.C. and V.V.. Thats right the evil maniac is now an immortal. He has taken V.V.’s immortality in exchange for the loss of his own geass, which they call that taking their “code.”(Now I can see why the episode is called Code Geass, always wonder why the word code was in front of geass)

Ah yes the love story between Villetta and Ohgi continues. Here Villeta comes to “supposedly” kill Ohgi but then the Super ultra Ninja Maid shows up and attacks Villetta. Somehow in the midst of all the fighting when Ohgi defended Villetta and fell off the cliff. She just jumped in after him, showing signs of affection that she so desperately tried to suppress and deny. Ahhh….Love how interesting it is.

Most people saw this one coming from the very beginning, when I knew she was immortal, the first wish I thought she could have would be to die (A lot of immortals always wish to become mortal or die, Highlander anyone). It kind of flows naturally from being immortal and alone most of the time, and watching people you’ve grown close to die of old age or the frailties of human life.

What I didn’t predict was that the underlying truth of geass user and geass giver was for the user to become powerful enough to kill the giver and take their place in immortality. I just thought it was unique to C.C.’s contract, because V.V. said their contract was to slay the gods.

Ahh what is it mean to be alive?? Is just merely surviving and breathing considered to be alive or is there more to it? This type of question will ultimately have varying answers. Some can claim to be immortal would mean that you are always alive, yet at the same time without the fear of death, how do you know you are alive and not merely existing? Well….our friends C.C. and Lelouch did debate over this topic….

Lelouch really stood his ideological ground here, refusing to give into C.C.’s self-pity and depreciation of life. His entire purpose in gaining the power of geass was to continue living and create a world in which Nunally could live in happiness. To him, there is meaning in just existing and driving toward your goals. In the end, he isn’t willing to kill C.C. in order to gain power equal to Charles. He isn’t the cold-blooded pragmatist that Charles is, who is willing to do anything to secure what he wants.

A key note that everyone should keep in mind is that during the episode it is indicated that the Immortal can somehow force their immortality onto the geass user as indicated by something Lelouch said. Despite wanting to die, C.C. didn’t do this which may be an indicator to how much she truly feels for him.

Oh man the genius finally figures it out after 15 episodes! But for his defense, Lelouch made extra precuationary measures to make sure no one finds out, so you can’t blame this moron, much….. And then he gets owned by a blind and crippled girl, who can tell he was lying without even using her hand polygraph. Just by listening to him speak. Suzaka, all I can say to you is “Epic Failure!!”

What a crazy nun. She seems all kind and what not when she meets C.C. as a child. Even gives her the Geass ability to make people love her. But then….BLAAHHH she goes into her crazy mode and laughs as she pushes her immortality onto C.C.. It is interesting to note how the geass affected C.C., changing her from a desperate slave to a spoiled girl who is showered with attention. If you compare Lelouch to that, he has not had such a significant change in his personality. He has the same goals he always had even before the geass, and his attitude about them hasn’t changed.

And her prince comes to rescue her, I half expected for him to confess to her, but I liked this way better. It is interesting to note that he asks her why he didn’t force the immortality on him, as we’ve seen her become closer and closer to him as the series went on. To her, he has become more than just an accomplice, but someone who truly thanked her and appreciated what she had given him. For the second time this episode Lelouch stands his ground and refuses to give up, telling her once again that he will stay with her and asserting that he won’t let anything else be taken away from him

I truly love the way he looks and talks. Oh Emperor, you are such a cute villain. But too bad for him though as it seems nothing went according to his plan. He didn’t get C.C. immortality and Lelouch blew up his place. I wonder if a guy like him would ever get sick of the immortality he has gained….(What do you guys think?)

Something bad is going to come as a result of Nina inventing what is probably the Geass universe’s version of a nuke and giving it to Schniezel. I can just feel it, and its common sense that once you introduce a nuke….yeah shits gonna happen.

C.C. has apparently lost all her memories from when she got geass onward. This is potentially devastating for Lelouch, who with that has lost the one person closest to him who knows everything and whom he can confide in him. What this means is that Kallen needs to come back ASAP to comfort him ^_^. In the end though, this is perhaps a way to let C.C. live at the end of the series, because if she has really lost her powers (forehead Geass thing doesn’t seem to be there?) she could live a normal life with Lelouch. Although it would be nice if he could at least restore her memories before this is over.

I am glad that we finally got to learn of C.C. past. Things are starting to get real good, I cannot wait for the next episode.

Code Geass R2, Ep14 – Geass Hunt. This episode opens up some interesting new facts and leaves us wondering. Though a cliffhanger episode, I really do think this is a great episode that develops the plot further for episodes to come.

Oh for anyone who had any doubts about how Rolo killed Shirley due to the episode not showing any concrete evidence as in a murder scene. Well right at the start of the episode Rolo himself admits to the murder, and somehow Lelouch manages to keep his cool and play a long claiming how it was a “good job.” Rolo, that sadistic bastard…..I still can’t believe he killed off Shirley ( I really liked her….).

The writers of Code Geass has given a lot of tasty plot material of the supernatural type. Also, loyalties on all sides are tested, even ones that were thought to be iron clad. Plus some shots of a younger Charles with some really long hair and Lulus mother. Overall, shit was hitting the fan throughout this episode.

Ahh look at the emperor with his long brown locks. An upgrade from his current hairstyle don’t you think? I never did like that british white wig look thing he has going, just makes me feel he is a prentenious prick (Which he is of course).

According to this scene at the beginning of this episode it seems Marianne and C.C. were buddies back in the day. In the side materials C.C. meets Lelouch years ago (visuals provided in some really quick shots of the start of episode 1) and it is also implied by C.C. that Marianne sent her to check up on Lelouch. She’s also still talking to her when she’s by herself in rooms, kinda creepy talking to dead people but hey thats just normal for C.C. seeing as she has been alive for god knows how long.

In this episode it shows the beginning of loyalties cracking on all sides. C.C. is somewhat apprehensive over the change in plans when it comes to dealing with the Geass Order, but tells Lelouch that she will see this through with him until the end. Her actions later on in the episode tend to confirm it, but there is that tension and apprehension there.

Up until this episode, throughout the entire season, if there was only one ally in the world that Lelouch could absolutely count on it was C.C., who told him that in the end she will be the only one standing with him. I believe this will definitely hold true to the end especially with the revelations of her ties to Marianne. Although this does not mean the relationship will remain untested, I am sure its going to be a tough path for the loyalty between these two.

Ahh Kallen, beautiful isn’t she? I wonder if she has put two and two together and realized that Lelouch is also a royalty. You see I think she would but……the intelligence indicator of last episode may prove other wise. Maybe she has figured it out but if she did, I figure that is something they would show on screen therefore I am just going to stick with my assumption that she hasn’t. Not everyone can be both beautiful and smart, and Kallen sure is beautiful so screw the brain part.

Yes the infamous scene after Toudou and this woman after their night of loving!! No, not really….but this scene does indicate that the solid formation of the Black Knights anti-Brit forces. Go UNITED STATES OF JAPAN!!!

Nothing like some freaky supernatural children to make anything in life better. Little children with the powers of the Geass, Cmon everyone in the world knows that’s just a bad idea…..would you give a kid a gun let alone the power of a Geass? It does show that the Order seems to be more than just a research facility, it seems to be “breeding” Geass users.

The Black Knights are hesitant about killing all of these kids and unarmed civilians, but they nonetheless follow orders. More signs of loyalties cracking, but I don’t believe that the Black Knights will be bailing on Lelouch anytime soon. Well as we all know Rolo (that sadistic bastard) is a member of the Order, so naturally these children all know him and his power. Which they did realize once Rolo used his abilities to get close, “Rolo Onee-chan”. Minutes after showing up Rolo just kills off all these kids with ease.

In case you still had doubts, Orange-kun is in with Lelouch for the long haul due to his loyalty to Marianne. He doesn’t really care about what Zero did to him, he’s willing to follow him regardless. Too bad he’ll probably be relegated to useless side character for awhile, at least until they find some fun uses for a geass canceller. And V.V. sure got pissed when Orange-kun dropped Marianne’s name on him, she was likely working against V.V. and the Emperor to thwart their plans.

Hmm…finally they tell what the weakness of Rolo’s Geass is. For a while there I thought it was just his time limit (but then again thats not really that bad of a weakness) but the whole cardiac arrest thing, now thats a true weakness.

Ahh….Lelouch was so close to destroying both V.V.’s Sigfried and Rolo at the same time but Cornelias interference kept Rolo alive. So Rolo lives to see another day, which is a good thing in my opinion. He may be a sadistic bastard but he is an interesting character (Does anyone else think he is like sexually attracted to Lulu??). On another note, Cornelia seems to blame V.V. much more than Lelouch for Euphie’s death. She had the opportunity here to blow Lelouch away, but instead focused her anger on V.V., who is the source of the geass in her mind. More and more hints of a possible alliance between Lelouch and Cornelia maybe?

This is the first time I ever seen C.C. cry, but here she really shows what path she has chosen, apparently destroying all of the research and ending the line of geass users. Now the only ones left that we know about would be Lelouch, the Emperor, and Rolo.

Here Suzaku threatens to use the drug “Refrain” on Kallen in order to extract information (You know that drug that is horribly bad for but allows you to relive your past). Suzaku has already earned the brand new nickname “Hypocrite” by me for his actions. So much for him claiming his moral fiber, right? At this point he’s definitely no better than Lelouch, and also no longer feels the need to hide under a shield of righteousness. I hate hypocrites like him and I really hope nothing happens to Kallen (I will personally draw Suzakus death if he does anything to her!!).

Alliances and loyalties continue to crack even amongst the Emperor and V.V.. For whatever reason V.V. did not tell the Emperor he was going to try and kill Lelouch, perhaps because the Emperor wanted him to live for his own personal plans. Also, V.V. was thinking about lying to Charles about Cornelia being captured earlier in the episode. Wonder why the Emperor and V.V. both have some small different agendas despite having a common goal. I wonder……

Ohhhhhhhh snap! CLIFFHANGER!!!!, and this is the first time we’ve seen Charles with such an expression of sick pleasure. Plus it also makes me wonder what other powers does the Emperor’s Geass have….memory alteration, Geass power supression, transportation?!?! The fact of Lelouch being dragged all the way to Brittania and to the Sword of Akasha should mean a big revelation for us next week about the truth of geass. It’s been a long time coming, and frankly I can’t wait as I am sure it is the same with all You Code Geass Fans out there.
