Gurren Lagann Exhibit at Tokyo Anime Center

For those who remember my post a few days ago about Curemaid Cafe Gurren Lagann Cosplay, well here is a somewhat relevant and related news. This news maybe somewhat slightly late since the event has already started, but since it will be lasting for a while longer I assumed it would be relevant to post it for those who are interested.

The Tokyo Anime Center announced that it will be holding an exhibit of original art work from the popular anime “Tengen Toppu Gurren Lagann.” In addition to the theatrical rendition of the first part of the series, scheduled to hit Japanese theaters September 6, the exhibit commemorates the first bound collection of Gurren Lagann artwork. Admission to the exhibit is free, however the Anime Center will be offering a variety of limited edition goods and special contests for customers. The exhibit will be on display until September 21.

CureMaid Cafe has a promotional event for all the Gurren Lagann fans out there. This event will last from Friday 22nd August and will last till 15th September. Customers can get to try specifically designated menus as well as purchase character goods from the cafe. For those who are going to be in Japan during this length of time, then maybe you have the opportunity to try out this interesting event at the cafe. It sure looks good in my eyes and I wish I could go.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Yoko Portraits

If any of you have seen the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, then you all may know the beautiful and dangerous Yoko. Yup thats right the chick with the longass rifle, hot in soooo many ways. Well over at howagirlfigures.com they scanned over some nice pictures and I felt I should probably share it on here as well.

The artists who drew these portraits are amazing. If I could draw like this, I would be doodling anime characters all day long. If I had the skill I’d definitely move to Japan and become a Manga or Anime Artist. Wouldn’t You?

Yoko I love you!!

Yoko is one of my favorite Gurren Lagann characters. I always liked how she acted, Impulsive like a kid but can get serious and dangerous in a mere second. Not to mention HAWT!!!
